LifeHacks - #3 | Blogging vs Vlogging in 2020?

What is blogging and vlogging?

Blog

Let start by discussing what's a Blog, how to start a blog and popularize it.

Step 1 : Sign Up

You can sign up to various blogging sites like Blogger and Wordpress.
If you have a Google Account which I'm almost sure that virtually everyone has, then you should go for Blogger as your first choice. It's easy to use and make good content. For example if you check my other blog The Few Creators it's made using Blogger
However, Wordpress is a little more free to use and gives a little bit more freedom to design their webpages.

Step 2: First Post

After opening your account, next step is choosing your niche/topic. I recommend you to choose a Micro Niche that is a very specific topic. It will be much easier to gain traffic with a micro niche blog than a blog which discusses Pet Care today and Yoga tomorrow. With everything in mind create your first post.

Step 3: Research

Next step is to do a lot of research on your niche. You need to search what people are wanting to know about and see what other blogs in your niche are writing.

Step 4: Promotion

There are many techniques that you can leverage to get organic traffic in your blog.
Like paid promotions in Google Adverts or promoting in a Social Media site e.g. Facebook, Pinterest or Instagram.
Some of the techniques are discussed in the following page:
Although this page is about promotion of e-books you can use the techniques to promote any kind of content available online or even offline.

Step 5: Adsense

The last step for getting a huge amount of passive income is getting an Ad-Network advertise on your site. The most preferred Ad-Network is Google Adsense, although you must make sure that you have genuine and useful content in your website before applying for approval in Adsense as Google checks for false/contentless sites and doesn't alow spam sites.

Vlog

Now lets discuss what's a Vlog, it's just the video version of a blog (Vlog stands for Video-log). Vlogging is generally done in YouTube . It's like people sharing their day-to-day life instances. I personally prefer to say that any informative video in the net is a advanced version of Blogs.

Step 1: Opening an YouTube account.

There are other sites to share videos too like Dailymotion and Tiktok (honestly yes) but the most preferred server is YouTube.

Step 2: Choosing a topic

Unlike blogs, vlogging can have a little more broad niche. For example if your blog was about Digital Marketing your Vlog can be about Marketing (Offline, Digital and Content)

Step 3: Making your first video

Haha! There's a wide range of options on how you make your videos. It can be totally infographic or it can be complete based on live streams. You can also do an image vlog. Where you show 50 or 100 images in a video.
Do that constantly for many months and you'll get diehard fans of you.

Step 4: Promotion

Yet again social media and Ad-Networks will help you gain traffic. You can share among your friends too.

Step 5: Adsense

After completing certain criteria you can apply to Adsense. After the approval, enjoy. Whooo-Hoooo!!!

Now let's get onto our main topic that is:

Blog vs Vlog

Generally speaking Vlogs are gaining ground with the advent of fast internet services. Just imagine getting a written 101 steps to do some work versus someone guiding you through each step. Which one is easier? Ofcourse Vlogs isn't it? But blogs are better at answering certain specific questions and selling and buying products can only be done with the help of a website. So blogging has it's own advantages and vlogging it's own centres of influence. Therefore, my answer to which one is better might be a little counter-intuitive. I personally would recommend you to start with Blogging and then go for Vlogging but after gaining experience it's better to combine both your blog and vlog. It's like mentioning your tutorial to something in your blog post and vice versa.

LifeHacks- #2 | Selling e-books online in 2020?

How do you sell e-books online? This is a question with two different answers because we need to understand selling e-books can be of two types. 1) Selling a e-book that you yourself wrote 2) Selling e-books that you got the PLR of. Also you can giveaway free e-books and also sell them for a higher amount. Normally I recommend starters to sell their products for $1. This might seem bad at first, but it's really not. If your readers like the content they will go ahead and buy more e-books even the ones listed at higher prices. We will discuss both of the situations in great detail. Selling your own e-book: Ok....so you've done all the hard work and research and finally compiled a e-book on suppose say Home Decor ideas or Pet Care or anything else. Now you've got to earn the big bucks through your work. Oftentimes this earning process gets troublesome and requires a lot more perseverance than writing the book itself. No matter how good your book may be, unl...

LifeHacks - #1 | Online Surveys in 2020?

What is a survey? Any influential company always does some background research before launching their product in the market. This research data can be of many types but one of the most preferred ways of getting information on the preferences of different people and what products they like and which products they don't want at all: is through surveys. Any other type of research data may be from an individual's point of view or based on an old theme in the present market, this leads to a huge gap between the mindset of the producer and the consumer. However, SURVEYS  can collect real-time data on what the consumers might like and what sort of changes they would like on a particular product. These kinds of surveys are called Marketing / Digital Marketing Surveys. Another sort of survey may be on the political situation of a locality. These are rare and mostly occur during some major elections when near.  How do I do surveys? Surveys can be both offline and online....
